About Me

My story starts in Santa Cruz, Ca where my love of surfing met its match for my love of psychology. When I wasn't out in the ocean I was in the library reading a writing about Freud and Watson. Studying the most complicated object in the known universe, the brain, I was fascinated and boggled at every turn.

Cognition and perception became my eventual obsession. The bare bones of how we think and perceive the world seemed to be my calling, then I discovered that this science could be applied to designing and improving nearly everything we interact with. I fell in love with UX design/research and never looked back.

So here I am at SJSU finishing my MS in Human Factors in May, 2020. Over the last two years I've learned to take everything I know about how people think, act and feel and turn it into design solutions that are safe, efficient, enjoyable and practical. Great interface design often goes unnoticed because there is no friction or struggle. If this is the case, my goal is to never create an interaction someone thinks twice about.
